Senior Mechanical Engineer
Lead the mechanical design, integrity and improvement of rotating and static equipment across a heavy-industrial processing site. You will own engineering decisions from concept through commissioning and ongoing reliability.

Key responsibilities
- Own mechanical design packages for pumps, compressors, conveyors and pressure equipment.
- Lead root-cause investigations on critical equipment failures and drive corrective actions.
- Review and approve engineering change requests, drawings and vendor documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards for the discipline.
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds and capital projects from scope to handover.
What we're looking for
- BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years in a heavy-industrial, mining or process environment.
- Professional registration (Pr.Eng) or working towards ECSA registration.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API and SANS codes.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with FEA and CFD tools.
- Exposure to reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
- Project management certification.
